Bigbury was packed as to be expected on a bank holiday weekend so parking was a bit of an issue as I got there a bit late. Decided to go for the Ace as my K-Bay is in for repair (cracked deck), most other were on large waveboards or freestyles. It's the first time out on the Ace for a long time so I checked it over only to find an ominous soft spot between the front and rear footstraps. Looks like more stuff on the shopping list!

Hit the water and it brought it back to me what a joy it is to blast around on a slalom board. I was hammering past everyone on the water, getting massive jumps off the small surf and cranking into some rapid slalom gybes. Admittedly I was going for big jumps to see if the board would stay in one piece (it has).

Swapped board with Rueben from Reactive as he wanted a bit of a speed fix, I got the raw end of the deal as I ended up miles downwind on his Thommen T1 75L - not enough wind to give it a serious go. Spent the rest of the afternoon just blasting and enjoying it until the rain came and the wind dropped. Excellent fun.
